SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP — Pat E. Pucci, age 86, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died on Sunday evening, Dec. 16, 2012, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center after a short illness.
Born Dec. 29, 1925, in Ashtabula, he was the son of Ernest and Rose (Dotti) Pucci. Pat graduated from Harbor High School and was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the European Theatre during World War II. On Dec. 30, 1948, he married the former Jean Rose in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, this month would have been their 64th anniversary.
Pat was retired as a self-employed carpet and appliance repair man.
His greatest times were singing karaoke at the VFW Post #943 with all his dear friends, and also in Florida where he vacationed in the winter months. Pat also enjoyed holiday family time.
He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, VFW Post #943 and the Elks.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Pucci of Ashtabula; son, Pat Pucci Jr. of Ashtabula; daughters, Pam Pucci of Columbus and Cathy Cevera of Columbus; grandchildren, Mark (Jenifer) Pucci, Melissa (Keith) Richards, Michael (Leah) Pucci, Katie Cevera, Kyle Cevera and Keith Cevera; great-grandchildren, Charlie Pucci and Logan Richards; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry Pucci and Fred Pucci; and sister, Christine Delerba.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20th, in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Mother of Sorrows Church, with burial to follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. Friends are asked to go directly to the church. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Honor Guard Team from Post #103.
