ORWELL — Richard M. Taylor, age 82, of Orwell, Ohio, passed away Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township, Ohio.
He was born Feb. 22, 1930, in Painesville, Ohio, to Elizabeth (White) and William Taylor. Richard served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He married Nancy Hill in Angola, Ind. on Jan. 23, 1954.
Richard was a Lift Truck Mechanic and a member of the Willoughby V.F.W. He enjoyed fishing and working on things.
He is survived by his daughters, Diane (Michael) Lucas of Madison and Helen (Michael Mowrey) Taylor of Greenville, Pa.; sons, Richard (Jodi) Taylor of Windsor, Ohio, William Taylor of Windsor, Ohio, Robert Taylor of Warren, Ohio and Rick (Debbie) Hamilton of Orwell, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim Taylor of Wickliffe, Ohio, William Taylor of Florida, Wayne Taylor of Florida, Larry Taylor of Michigan and Douglas Taylor of Geneva, Ohio; and sisters, Marlene Watson of Willoughby, Ohio and Margaret “Peg” Anderson of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Donna Taylor; parents; brothers, Charles and Bob Taylor; and sisters, Betty Richmond, Jackie Taylor, Gloria Taylor and Kay Rosipko.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 16th, at the Willoughby V.F.W. Post #1500 on Pelton Road. Final Resting Place will be at Windsor Cemetery in Windsor.
