ANDOVER — Keith L. Slitor, age 60, entered peacefully into rest on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at his home.
He was born Dec. 4, 1951, in Berea, Ohio, a son of Lewis M. Slitor and Willetta F. (Howarth) Slitor Knapp. Formerly of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, Mr. Slitor lived in Andover since 2000.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy; and was employed by the Ford Motor Co. Engine Plant in Brookpark, Ohio, from 1972 until 1999. Mr. Slitor enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren; and was an avid lover of warm weather days. He enjoyed working outdoors, doing yardwork, going to turkey shoots, fishing, golfing and traveling.
Mr. Slitor married Jacqueline L. (Doing) on Jan. 4,1975, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 24, 2010. He is also preceded by his parents.
He is survived by one son, Allen C. Doing of North Royalton, Ohio; three daughters, Jessica L. Slitor of Lakewood, Ohio, Amanda L. Slitor of Hinckley, Ohio and Kimberly L. (Slitor) Williams of Cleveland, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne Slitor of Litchfield, Ohio and Gary Slitor of Cleveland, Ohio; and one sister, Tammy Corrigan of Lorain, Ohio.
Calling Hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 25th, at BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio.
