ORWELL — Ruth M. Fozo, age 86, died peacefully on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1926, the daughter of Russell and Helen (Webb) May. She had been a resident of Windsor, Ohio, for over 50 years.
Ruth loved to bake and decorate cakes for family and friends. She also enjoyed fishing, canning, embroidering items on her sewing machine, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed making and sharing her Hungarian soup. She was a founding member of the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, where she also served as an E.M.T.
Ruth is survived by her three children, Linda (Ron) Fortune of Ashtabula, Betty (Jeff) Kalbfleisch of Hartsgrove and Thomas (Patricia) Fozo of Eaton, Ohio. She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine 3/4 great-grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jack Fozo; her beloved husband, Louis Fozo; two brothers, Harold May and Webb May; and one sister, Marion Marshand.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 24th, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. with a Funeral Service, officiated by the Rev. Shirley Deemer, to be held at 12 p.m. at the PAINE-GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 140 E. Main St., Orwell, Ohio 44076. Burial will take place at the Colebrook Township, North Cemetery following the Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
