MADISON — Marilyn Mae Reese, age 81, a resident of Madison, Ohio, passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at The Lantern Assisted Living in Madison.
She was born Dec. 18, 1930, in Cleveland, to Harriett (Pettit) and Ernest Wickert and was a 1948 graduate of Madison High School. Marilyn married William Charles Reese on Oct. 28, 1950, at the First Baptist Church in Madison.
Marilyn owned and operated Reese’s Auto with her husband for 41 years, and also worked at Madison Hardware and the Lake County Health Dept.
She was a member of Lakeside Garden and Craft Club. Marilyn enjoyed making crafts, golfing, traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Bolender of Geneva and Tammy (Ted) Elliott of Saybrook; son, Terry Reese of Harpersfield; grandchildren, Mark (Michelle) Bolender, Timothy Bolender, Kyle (Lerryn) Reese, Hailey (Rob) Walls, Morgan Reese and Jason and Nick Elliott; two great-grandchildren, Aubree and Jack Bolender; a sister, Joann (Richard) Darrow of Houston, Texas; and a brother, Robert (Barb) Wickert of Madison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; and brothers, Ray, Donald and Forrest “Pudge” Wickert.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28th, at the Funeral Home. Final Resting Place will be at North Madison Cemetery.
