GENEVA — Juan Sanchez, age 77, of Geneva, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013, at University Hospital of Cleveland.
He was born Feb. 8, 1936, in Utuado, Puerto Rico, to Maria Sanchez.
Juan was a supervisor and retired from the Lake County Nursery. He also had Juan's Labor Camp in Geneva.
He enjoyed helping others, gardening, lawn care, and playing with his tractor.
Juan is survived by his children, Ana Sanchez of Geneva, Juana Rivera of Ashtabula, Juan Jr. of Geneva, Waylande of Rittman, Penny Sanchez of Geneva, Rhonda Massena of Ashtabula and Betty (Richard) DiMare of Ashtabula; several grand and great-grandchildren; brother, Jaime (Lillie) Sanchez of Lorain; and dear friend and helper, T. Cookingham.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and a daughter, Jeanna Vance.
Calling Hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 5th, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva.
Funeral will be held 11:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 6th, at the Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Jones, of Lighthouse Baptist Church of Ashtabula, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva.
