ASHTABULA — Curt Paul Douglass, age 57, of Lake Ave., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at his home.

He was born Dec. 4, 1955, in Warren, the son of Donald Charles and Hazel (Dell) Douglass and had been an Ashtabula resident for the past 3 years, previously living in Texas.

A graduate of Howland High School, he worked as a career man in the military for 19 years prior to his retirement. He served in both the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy.

An avid sports fan, he loved NASCAR and the Cleveland Browns. He also enjoyed hard rock music and was formerly a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

His survivors include his mother, Hazel Douglass of Ashtabula; two sisters, Virginia (Douglass) Imburgia and Suzanne (Douglass) Watros, both of Ashtabula; one brother, Stephen Douglass of Shreveport, La.; several step-children; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Antoinette; his brother, Dwayne Douglass; and his father.

A Service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5th, at DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES AND CREMATORY, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, with Full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Dewey-Howlett Post #103. The Rev. Doug Wright, Pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens Garden of Honor, North Kingsville.
