PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Joyce E. Blenman, age 72, of Parkesburg, Pa., went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at University of Pennsylvania Hospice, Philadelphia, Pa.
Born in Conneaut, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Rath and the wife of the Rev. Larry E. Blenman with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.
Joyce was a graduate of Conneaut Senior High School.
Joyce shared her husband’s ministry by playing the piano and organ, teaching Sunday school, and ministering in the community in many area churches. Joyce played the piano and organ at Pentecostal Holiness Church from age 9 until she and Larry moved to Pennsylvania in 1964.
In addition to her husband, Larry, Joyce is survived by her daughters, Sherry Blenman of Tulsa, Okla., and Darla Speaker and her husband, Jeffrey, of West Chester, Pa.; and four grandchildren whom she adored, Chelsey Salmon and her husband, Guillermo, of Virginia, Gregory, Zachary and Joshua Speaker, all of West Chester.
Joyce’s Memorial Service will be held 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12th, at Calvary Fellowship Church, Downingtown, Pa., with Visitation beginning at 3 p.m.
