CLEVELAND — Pamela A. Hughes, age 69, of Edward Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born April 26, 1944, in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of Willis and Dorothy (Weisenburger) Syfert and has been a lifetime area resident. She was a 1962 graduate of Conneaut High School and graduated from Erie Business School.
She was a Homemaker most of her life.
She was an active member of the Friends in Christ Bible Fellowship Church of Ashtabula. She was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed bowling.
Surviving is her husband, Ray Hughes, whom she married July 29, 1972; a brother, Tim Syfert of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; a sister, Joyce McKinley of Florissant, Mo.; a niece, Robin Martin; two nephews, Eric McKinley and Mark Carlucci; an aunt, Betty Griffith of Pulaski, N.Y.; and an uncle, Howard Weissenburger of Pulaski, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by a nephew, Steven Carlucci.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 12th, at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND CREMATORY, INC., 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with Pastor Gifford Baker officiating.
Calling Hours will be Wednesday, Dec. 11th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
