CLEVELAND — William H. “Billy” Summers, age 50, of Conneaut, Ohio, died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland.
Billy was born on Feb. 28, 1963, in Conneaut, the son of Harold R. and Linda (Bowers) Summers. He attended Conneaut High School and went on to work in the maintenance department at the former Big K Truck Stop in Kingsville.
He enjoyed working on cars and motors. Billy liked antiquing and going to auctions. He also liked putting together model cars, playing games on the computer and watching wrestling on TV. He was known to many by his CB handle as “Little Bear” and he always loved to make people laugh.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, Harold Summers; granddaughter, Natasha Santana; and grandson, Christopher Allen Lambert.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Summers of Conneaut; his wife, Judy (Williams) Summers of Conneaut; a son, Dick James West Jr. of Conneaut; daughters, Tammy Lee and Tito Santana of Ashtabula and Sandra Jean Strange of Conneaut; son-in-law, Chris Lambert of Conneaut; step-brother, Greg Summers; grandchildren, Antonio and Nikki Santana, Kaylee Wiley, Kyle Lambert, Justin West, Tito Santana Jr. and Michael Santana; in-laws, Patricia Gevelaar, Carla Gable, Gloria Williams, Mary Dalrymple, James (Kim) Williams, Laura Dalrymple and Gerald Kangas; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, Sept. 16th, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16th, at the Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Route 20, North Kingsville, Ohio, with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts, of the Ashtabula Pentecostal Church of God, officiating. Burial will follow.
