ASHTABULA — Mary Grace (Bruno) Noce, age 88, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Mary was born June 22, 1925, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Alex and Sabina (Manupella) Bruno. She was a 1943 graduate of Ashtabula High School and was married to Christy Noce who preceded her in death March 2, 1995.
Mary was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was an excellent baker and was known as the “Cake Lady” because she made elaborate cakes for many weddings and other area events, and made them affordable for everyone.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri Mansuy and her husband, Ed; grandchildren, Kevin, Bryan and Joshua Kahanca, Traci Hirata and Gregg Noce; great-grandchildren, Haley, Zackery and Chase Hirata; and sister, Patty Montgomery.
In addition to her husband, Christy, she was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Christopher and Jeffrey; and nine siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Monday, August 19th, in St. Joseph Church, 3312 Lake Ave., Ashtabula. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Carpenter Road. There will be no calling hours.
