CONNEAUT — Vincina Marie "Squeak" Helfinstine, age 63, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Daughter of the late Sam and Vincina (Pignotti) Nappi, she was born on March 1, 1951, in Conneaut, Ohio.
Vincina graduated from St. John High School in 1969 and then went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Michael Helfinstine, on Nov. 27, 1971. Together they had two sons, Daniel Helfinstine and Scott Helfinstine.
Vincina had a lengthy career at CW of Ohio until she went on to pursue her real passion of cooking as the Owner of Lighthouse Cafe and Anthony's Pizza, both in Conneaut, Ohio. She retired in December of 2012.
Anyone who knows Squeak knows her passion for baking, family and laughter. She spent most of her time baking side by side with her sister, Luann Nappi Champlin, and nieces, Jennifer Betts and Kristina Johnson. Her husband, Mike, was always at her side in their numerous ventures and the two spent few moments apart.
She Is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Helfinstine; sons, Daniel Helfinstine (wife, Shannon, and grandson, Logan) and Scott Helfinstine; her brother, Michael (wife, Lori Nappi); sister, Luann Nappi Champlin (husband, Wayne Champlin); brother, David (wife, Emila Nappi); brother, Samuel (wife, Chris Nappi); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Vincina Marie "Squeak" Helfinstine's Funeral will be held 4 p.m., Saturday, April 5th, at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 365 W. Aurora Road, Sagamore Hills, Ohio. Get directions at www.ferfolia.com.
Visiting Hours will be Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by Service at 4 p.m. A Memorial Service in her honor will be held in Conneaut on May 10th, details to be announced.

Squeak has touched so many people in her hometown and will be missed by all. She will always be remembered for her incredible smile, infectious laugh, grace and courage, and a personality that will never be forgotten. "We miss and love you Squeaker."
