GENEVA — Lucile Walter, age 88, a resident of Geneva the past two years, died early Sunday morning, May 19, 2013, at Geneva Village Nursing Home.
She was born April 2, 1925, in Lenox Township, the daughter of Hays and Susie (Smith) Weaver and had lived in northeast Ohio most of her life, returning to Geneva from Mentor in 2011.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Perry, she attended the Baptist Bible Institute and she enjoyed crocheting and baking. She and her late husband Robert had their own personal nursing home ministry.
Survivors include two children, Vickie M. Stitt of Aurora, Colo. and Robert M. Walter of Denver, Colo.; three grandsons, Cody Walker, David (Carrie) Briggs and Shane (Christine) Briggs, a great-grandson, Shane Christopher and a sister, Harriette Kindig of Geneva.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert in 2011; a grandson, Jeffrey Briggs; a brother, Berchard Weaver; and five sisters, Florence Tucker, Vera Kelly, Cora Shinaberry, Susie Cook and Donna Weaver.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 22nd, at the Geneva Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva, with Pastor Stoney Drain, of Painesville Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of Service, Wednesday, at the Funeral Home.
