ASHTABULA — Albert L. Metlicka, age 69, of Ashtabula, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the University Hospital of Geneva.
Born Aug. 19, 1943, in Ashtabula, he was the son of Albert and Marie Amidon (Woodworth) Metlicka. Albert graduated from Ashtabula High School class of 1961. He attended Kent State University, Wittenberg College, and Lakeland College. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. On July 28, 1962, he married the former Judith Ann Colucci in Saint Joseph Church, Ashtabula.
Mr. Metlicka was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and the Italian Sons and Daughters of America. He enjoyed making Stain Glass and loved his grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughters, Leslie (Matthew Mark) Salviano of Vail, Ariz., Lisa (Ron) Silvieus of Ashtabula and Deirdre (Brad) Morrow of Beaver Falls, Pa.; grandchildren, Marissa and Miranda Salviano, Hope and Judith Silvieus, and Chad, Zachary, Brittany and Emily Morrow; and a sister, Dorothy Metlicka of Foster City, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Judith Ann Metlicka.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon, Saturday, May 4th, in Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Joseph Church with burial to follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula.
