ASHTABULA — Debra Ann Sizemore, age 57, of West 3rd St., lost a hard-fought battle with cancer on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, with her daughters by her side.
She was born April 29, 1956, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Eugene and Eva (Bailey) Sizemore and had been a lifelong Ashtabula resident.
A 1974 graduate of Harbor High School, she worked at several area diners and restaurants in Ashtabula, including Rose’s and the Captain’s Table.
She enjoyed writing, oldies music and family picnics. She also loved walks through the neighborhood where she grew up, especially at Walnut Beach and Point Park.
She was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
She leaves behind her father, Eugene Sizemore Sr. of Ashtabula; two daughters, Amanda (Robert) Delewski and Amy (Arthur) McClain, both of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, Ashleigh, Robbie and Sarah; the love of her life, Douglas Carver of Ashtabula; two brothers, Coy and Mark (Dana) Sizemore, both of Ashtabula; two sisters, Dawnetta (David) Hornyak of Illinois and Sheila (Paul) Bledsoe of Ashtabula; several nieces and nephews; and several close family friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Sizemore Jr.; and her mother.
A Memorial Service will be held 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6th, at the First Nazarene Church, 1820 South Ridge Road West, Ashtabula, with Pastor Michael Legg officiating.
Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of Service, Friday, at the Church.
Contributions may be made in her name to the family.
