WAYNE — Lee Robert "Bob" Lipps, age 69, of Wayne Township, Ohio, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014.
He was born May 30, 1944, in Geneva, Ohio, a son of Layton H. and Glenna D. (Fetters) Lipps. Bob was a 1962 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School.
He was a lifelong dairy farmer in Wayne, and was an active member of Williamsfield United Methodist Church. Bob was an avid outdoorsman; and enjoyed his draft horses and his dog, “Duke.”
He is survived by his wife, Christine M. (Hugo) Lipps, whom he married Oct. 17, 1992 of Wayne; a daughter, Laurie Wilson of Zanesville, Ohio; a son, John (Brenda) Lipps of Andover; a daughter, Jenny (Eric) Unger of Painesville, Ohio; two step-daughters, Karen Irvine of Chardon, Ohio and Laura (Dan) Nolan of Columbus, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Lindsay, Lance, Lauren, Jason, Elizabeth, Ben, Matthew, Krista, Kaethi, Emily and Erin; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Nola (Larry) Vlock of Sheffield Township, Ohio; and a brother, Leslie (Beverly) Lipps of Ashtabula, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Leroy Lipps.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1st, at Williamsfield United Methodist Church, corner of Rt. 7 and 322, Williamsfield, Ohio, with the Rev. Pat Seger and Pastor Lyle Lipps officiating.
