JEFFERSON — Correne A. Nicholas, age 95, of Jefferson, Ohio, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Jefferson Health Care Center.
She was born March 30, 1918, in Gustavus Township, Ohio, a daughter of Harry and Ethel (Drake) White. A lifetime area resident, Mrs. Nicholas was a 1937 graduate of Gustavus School.
She was employed for many years as a cook for Williamsfield Elementary School and area nursing homes. Mrs. Nicholas was a member of the Williamsfield United Methodist Church; a founding member of the Williamsfield Mother's Club; and she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and crafts. The center of her life was spending time with her family.
Mrs. Nicholas is survived by her son, Harry Cutlip of Kings Mountain, N.C.; two daughters, Kathryn (Cutlip) Mills, and her husband, Chuck Mills, of Mansfield, Ohio, and Joyce Strang of Williamsfield, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and three sisters, Doris Holdcroft of Texas, and Carol Braden and Marilyn Smith, both of Cortland, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Robert Cutlip; her twin daughters, Arlene and Darlene Cutlip; a son, Leon Cutlip; a great-grandson, Allen Pal; one sister, Alene Hall; and her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Cutlip.
A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13th, at BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, Ohio, with Pastor Pat Seger officiating. Burial will follow in West Williamsfield Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12th, at the Funeral Home.
