ASHTABULA — Lucille Rose Hannold, age 82, formerly of West Ave., passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, in the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
The daughter of Cecedio and Mary (Porcello) Baruffa, she was born on Sept. 19, 1931, in Ashtabula.
A wonderful mother and grandmother, Lucille was always happy and friendly with an outgoing personality. She loved helping others and also had a special dedication and love for St. Jude. She was a member of the former St. Joseph Mission on West Ave., where she was active in the Altar & Rosary Society, MDM Society, Catholic Daughters and enjoyed playing Bingo. She also belonged to the Lou’s Happy Travelers Club where she enjoyed organizing and taking bus trips to many areas of the country.
Lucille is survived by her son, Allen (Mary) Hannold; grandson, Gabriel Hannold; and brother, Cecil (Joanne, deceased) Baruffa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hannold; her parents; and a brother, Ralph Baruffa and his wife, Anna.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2nd, at Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Joseph Worship Site, with the Rev. Ernesto Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Ashtabula.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Road in Ashtabula.
