CONNEAUT — Johnathan William Swan, nine months, of Conneaut, Ohio, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
He was born Dec. 17, 2013, in Ashtabula, Ohio, to Meggan E. Swan.
Johnathan loved Cat in the Hat and Word Girl. Red was his favorite color and he loved “cammo” hats, and animals. As an organ donor, Johnathan was presented with the Gift of Life Donor medal and certificate by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Heath Resources and Services Administration.
Johnathan is survived by his mom, Meggan E. Swan; grandparents, Tonja Swan of Conneaut, and Anthony (Terry) Krolczyk; great-grandparents, Martha Ross of Conneaut, LeRoy H. Swan of Conneaut, and Stephen and Linda Krolczyk of Albion, Pa.; his aunts, Tammarisk (Christopher) Lyman of Chardon, Ohio and Justine Vancise of Conneaut; and a cousin, Evan Lyman. Also surviving are great-aunts, Tammy (Jeff) Myers of Conneaut, Vanya (Matt) Maire of Conneaut, Skeeter Marshall (Michael DiPolito) of Sheffield Township, Ohio, Sue Schulze of Corry, Pa., Debra (Jeff) Schaffer of Albion, Pa., Theresa Holland of Waterford, Pa. and Jana Swan of Fairview, Pa.; great-uncles, Dennis (Donna) Swan of Conneaut, Ohio, Daniel Swan of Florida, Steve (LuAn) Krolczyk of Mill Village, Pa. and Bill Krolczyk of Warren, Pa.; his dog, “Diesel” whom he loved to ride as a pony; his father, Zachary Myers of Conneaut; grandparents, Buddy Myers and Karen (Mike) Johnston, all of Conneaut; and many more cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Jack Ross; and great-uncle, James “Jack” Marshall.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24th, at Old Time Baptist Church, 809 Furnace Road, Conneaut, Ohio, with Pastor Richard Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Gageville Cemetery, Sheffield Township, Ohio.
Calling Hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Today, Sept. 23rd, at MARCY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Family in care of Marcy Funeral Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and at the church.
