Florence will be remembered for her grace and dignity throughout her journey of life, unconditional love and dedication to her friends and family, her concern for those less fortunate; and her faith and strength in the Lord.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Darla J. Jones and Christina McKinnon, both of Ashtabula; one stepson, Lester Ricks of Hayti, Mo.; two goddaughters, Antoinette Ezell and Danielle Crews; four grandsons, Kieran Jones Sr., Joshua Jones, DeShawn Jones and Jujuan McKinnon, all of Ashtabula; two granddaughters, Dymond McKinnon and Lyrik Evell, both of Ashtabula; one great-granddaughter, Kyra Iasia Jones, and one great-grandson, Kieran Isaiah Jones Jr., both of Ashtabula; six sisters, Phyllis Baker, Joette (Harry Sr.) Wells, both of Ashtabula, Diane Reynolds, Wanda Reynolds, Merlene Kay Nolan, all of Dayton and Beverly Powers of Ashtabula; and several uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Jones Jr., who passed away Oct. 19, 2012; her parents; stepfather, William (Billy) Foster; a sister, Connie Bowens; and brother, George B. Reynolds.
Florence’s Home Going Service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21st, at Peoples Missionary Baptist Church, 3837 West Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio. Eulogist, the Rev. Dr. German Womack Jr., pastor, and the Rev. Dr. Calvin McLoyd Jr., President of the United Missionary Baptist State Convention of Ohio, officiating.
A Calling Hour will be observed from 10 a.m. until time of Service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21st, at Peoples Missionary Baptist Church, 3837 West Ave., Ashtabula.
