ASHTABULA — Joseph F. “Juicy” Guerini, age 87, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died on Sunday evening, Nov. 4, 2012, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born June 2, 1925, in Ashtabula, he was the son of Joseph and Elvira (Rose) Guerini.
Mr. Guerini was a graduate of Ashtabula High School and was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving in the European and Pacific Theaters. He retired from Conrail railroad.
Juicy was an avid sports fan. He was also a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, East Ashtabula Club, Elks, American Legion Post #103 and V.F.W. #943.
Survivors include his sons, Joseph (Kathleen) Guerini of Ashtabula, Jon (Laurie) Guerini of Ashtabula and Jeffrey Guerini of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Mindy Guerini-Allds, Justin Guerini and Lindsey Guerini; great-grandchildren, Marinah Allds and Rylee Schiedel; brothers, Clarence Guerini, Mike Guerini and Stanley Guerini; and sister, Genevieve Notter, all of Ashtabula.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy (Puchan) Guerini; brother, Harold Guerini; and sister, Carmel Stickle.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9th, at Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Joseph Church, 3312 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, with burial to follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Honor Guard Team from Post #103.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Nov. 8th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St. in Ashtabula.
