Eva A. Rea, age 85, of Conneaut, Ohio, died Tuesday evening, Oct. 16, 2012, at Ashtabula County Medical Center in Ashtabula, Ohio.
She was born Jan. 4, 1927, in Conneaut, the daughter of Stephen T. and Mary P. (Scheid) Bly and was a Conneaut High School graduate.
Mrs. Rea had been employed at Webb Manufacturing. She volunteered with the Red Cross, the Blood Bank and the 50/50 Barn. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, crafts and reading. She had been a resident of the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, Kingsville, Ohio, for the past year.
Survivors include her sister, Ann Fortune of Kingsville, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Nell Magnone of Cleveland, Ohio; nephew and nieces including Richard Fortune of Ashtabula, Ohio, Connie (Arlan) Vines of Pierpont, Ohio and Susan (Paul) Cornelsen, Sharon (Tom) Cmarik and Karen Magnone, all of Cleveland, Ohio; great-nieces and nephew, Stephanie (Brian) George of Erie, Pa., Deanna (Chris) Wall of Conneaut, Ohio, Christina Fortune of Powhaton, Va., Jessica (Eric) Bailey of Lexington, N.C. and Trevor Vines of Pierpont, Ohio; and numerous great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter H. Rea in 1973; two brothers, James and John Bly; and a sister, Helen Plosila.
Graveside Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, in Glenwood Cemetery, Conneaut, Ohio, with Tim Kraus, of the Church of Christ, officiating.
No calling hours will be observed.
