Shawn Kingus, age 43, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012.
He was born Sept. 16, 1969, in Madison, to Joanne Carol (Swartz) and Richard Francis Kingus. Shawn served in the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm.
He was a mechanic for Firestone in Concord. He was a history buff who loved life. A free spirit, he had a passion for golfing and enjoyed bicycling. An avid Steelers fan, he was known to be adventurous and hard working.
He is survived by his father, Richard (Theresa) Kingus of Cleveland; sisters, Dawn (Mark Good) Kingus of Kirtland and Carey (Doug) Hartz of Orwell; brothers, his twin Erik (Beth) Kingus of Columbus, Ga. and Jared (Tessa) Kingus of Madison; nephews, Jeff, Tyler, Tyler, Nathan, Logan and “Speed Racer” Lucian; and nieces, Jennifer and Chanel.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne; grandmother, Olga Swartz; and grandfather, W. C. Swartz.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES, 26 River St., Madison.
Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 13th, at the Funeral Home. Final Resting Place will be at Montville Cemetery.
