Walter A. Diedrich, age 86, of Geneva, Ohio, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012.
He was born August 5, 1926, in Chardon, Ohio, the son of Walter and Hilda (Crosby) Diedrich and had been a resident of Geneva since 1963. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WWII. He married Jeanne E. (Radloff) on Oct. 16, 1948, in Toledo. Walter was the owner of Diedrich Buick Oldsmobile Dealership in Geneva, owner of Garden & Lawn Equipment & Business in Chardon and owner & operator of Concession Stand.
He had an adventuresome spirit, liked fishing, flying airplanes and boating.
Survivors include his children, Tom (Cheryl) Diedrich of Castle Rock, Colo., Sharon (Joseph) Ford of Turlock, Calif. and Debra Gordon of San Jose, Calif.; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Robert and Christine.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne; and his parents.
Graveside Service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 9th, at Chardon Municipal Cemetery, 201 Park Ave., Chardon, with the Rev. Charles Oplinger officiating.
