ASHTABULA — Cynthia Ann Shouvlin, age 59, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Tri-Point Medical Center.
She was born July 17, 1953, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Louis and Patricia (Wrisley) Gaggiano and was a lifelong area resident. Cyndi graduated from St. John Class of 1971. Cyndi graduated from Fairview Hospital School of Nursing, and then received her BSN from Kent State University Main Campus.
She married the love of her life, John Shouvlin, in Ashtabula, on Nov. 26, 1983. Cyndi was a member of Our Lady of Peace- Mother of Sorrows Worship Site. Cyndi was the school nurse at Sts. John and Paul School for about 10 years, and prior to that she worked in the Emergency Room at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. Cyndi was a registered nurse by trade, but her main focus and priority were her daughters. She enjoyed painting, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Cyndi is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, John; her mother, Patricia Gaggiano of Ashtabula; her daughters, Ellen Shouvlin of Painesville and Lizzie Shouvlin of Ashtabula; sister, Cathy Migliore of New Jersey; brother, Jim Gaggiano of Poland, Ohio; sister-in-law, Tina Gaggiano of Ashtabula; nieces and nephew, Kelly and Laura Migliore and Anthony and Michelle Gaggiano; and numerous other nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Gaggiano; and her grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held 9:30 a.m., Monday, May 20th, at Our Lady of Peace- Mother of Sorrows Worship Site, with Fr. Raymond Thomas officiating. Inurnment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Calling Hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, May 19th, at ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to American Cancer Society, Cleveland Art Museum or St. John School.
