KINGSVILLE — Jennie Brudapast, age 91, formerly of N. Ridge Road E., passed away after a long illness at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home on Saturday, April 27, 2013.
Born Sept. 4, 1921, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Virginia (DeAngelo) Brudapast, she has been a lifelong Ashtabula resident.
A graduate of Ashtabula High School, she then worked for Ashtabula Rubber, and retired from the housekeeping department of the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
After taking care of her ill father, Jennie sold the family house on E. 16th St. and moved to a mobile home park where she enjoyed her neighbors. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish. She loved planting her garden and flowers. She always listened to Polka Hour, dance music and Animal Planet.
Jennie is survived by her sister-in-law, Agnes Brudapast; brother-in-law, Dick Strong of Painesville; nieces and nephews, Donald (Hiroko) Eovino of Hawaii, Marsha Eovino of Hawaii, Joyce Strong of Painesville, Janice (Steve) Stanley of Chicago, Ill., David (Beth) Brudapast of Tallmadge, Ohio, Virginia (Don) Keller of Mentor, Roberta Brudapast of Columbus, Ohio, and Shaari (Ronald) Mieczivikowski of Cheektawaga, N.Y.; step-sister, Eleanor (Butch) Miller of Maple Grove, Minn.; cousin and caretakers, Jean Vendetti, and Gail and Tom Pickett.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Harry; two sisters, Edith Strong and Lena Duncan; and her parents.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 2nd, at the ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Ave., Ashtabula, with Deacon Richard Johnson presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, in the Brudapast Family Lot.
Calling Hour will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
