Edward A. Soden, age 62, of St. Rt. 46 N., Jefferson, died Thursday evening, May 29, 2014, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
He was born May 26, 1952, in Ashtabula, the son of Arnold and Regina (Chike) Soden. Ed has resided in this area all of his life. On May 3, 1975, he married his beautiful bride, Linda L. Arp, at St. Joseph Church in Jefferson.
He worked for First Energy as a maintenance electrician until his retirement last year. He enjoyed deer hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to participate in charity runs. He was a proud member of C.M.R.O. Region #13 (Concerned Motorcycle Riders of Ohio) for over twenty years, A.B.A.T.E. (American Bikers Aim Towards Education), H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) and was also a Member of the Moose Club in Ashtabula.
He is survived by his mother, Regina Soden; loving wife, Linda L. Soden of Jefferson; a son, Bryan E. Soden of Jefferson; sisters, Mary E. Lilley of Cypress, Texas and Dorothy (Vern) Kirkingburg of Jefferson; and two grandchildren, Aiden and Brandon Soden of Jefferson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold E. Soden; brother-in-law, Glen Lilley; and many close friends.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 3rd, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND CREMATORY, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with Fr. Phillip Miller, of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Conneaut, officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery in Ashtabula.
Calling Hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 2nd, at the Funeral Home.
