ASHTABULA — Gloria M. Ross (DeMarco) of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 20, 2013.

She was born in Erie, Pa. and was a graduate of Millcreek High School. Gloria and her husband Norman were married on Dec. 19, 1951, and had recently celebrated their 61st anniversary.

Gloria was a devoted member of Mother of Sorrows Church and active in the Altar and Rosary Society, a volunteer at the Soup Kitchen and was a charter member of the Shamrock Club; she also volunteered for Ohio Reads, the Harbor Topky Library, and the Literacy Volunteers of America. She was also a member of MADD and Right to Life. Gloria was known for always sending letters of encouragement, love and support to family and friends. Gloria's world revolved around her family; her husband, her 4 boys and her grandchildren.

Surviving Gloria are her husband, Norman; her sons, Curtiss (Jodie) Ross of Concord Ohio, Michael (Barbara) Ross of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Gary (Vicky) Ross of Columbus, Ohio and Greg Ross of Ashtabula; her grandchildren, Brian, Christine, Laura, Jami, Tyler, and Rylee; her great grandchildren, Jake, Paige, Hunter and Riley. She is also survived by her sisters, Carmel Ferrio and Margaret DeMarco.

Gloria, the youngest daughter of nine children, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Frances (Trolly) DeMarco; brothers, Alfonso, Romeo, Robert and Curtiss; and sisters, Angeline and Clara.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 23rd, at Our Lady of Peace - Mother of Sorrow Church, 1464 W. 6th St., Ashtabula, with Fr. John Mulqueen presiding. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Calling Hours will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass, Tuesday, at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve or the American Cancer Society in Gloria's name. Envelopes will be available at the church.

CZUP FUNERAL HOME, 526 W. Prospect, Ashtabula is handling the arrangements for the family.
