ASHTABULA — Lavonne A. Godec (née: Schroyer), age 73, of Cherry Valley Township, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born Jan. 4, 1940, in Cumberland, Md., was the daughter of the late Iva Schroyer. Formerly of Mentor, Ohio, she has resided in Cherry Valley Township for 13 years.
Lavonne retired from Tapco in Cleveland.
She enjoyed going to casinos, traveling and bowling. Lavonne was very dedicated to her family.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; sisters, Flora Humbert and Frances B. Fike; brother, John A. Schroyer; sister-in-law, Barbara (Nick) Romito; brother-in-law, Stanley (Pat) Godec; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Besides her mother, Iva Schroyer, she was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17th and 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 18th, at GATTOZZI AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, Ohio.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 18th, at GATTOZZI AND SON FUNERAL HOME, with burial at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.
