Earl F. Forren, age 85, of Geneva, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, UH-Geneva Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 3, 1928, in Sinks Grove, W.Va., to John W. and Myrtle C. (Burns) Forren. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Era.
He worked for Geneva City Street Maintenance for 19 1/2 years, Industrial Rayon for 19 1/2 years and was a truck driver.
Earl attended Peoples Church of Geneva. He enjoying singing along with the radio, making wood carvings, bowling, working on cars and painting.
Survivors include his children, Deborah L. (Bill) Fowler and Kelly S. Forren, both of Geneva, and Kenneth (Melanie) Forren of Milan, Ohio; six grandchildren, Tabitha, Caleb, Elijah, Jacob, Lucas and Mia; two sisters, Mary (Dewey) Bennett of Alderson, W.Va. and Frances (Max) Osborne of Rainelle, W.Va.; three brothers, Edwin of Roanoke, Va., Robert of Alderson, W.Va. and Donald (Ginny) of Elizabeth, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Grimmett whom he married April 7, 1953, in Union, W.Va.; his parents; three sisters, Eva Forren, Juanita Morris and Ada Burns; and three brothers, Thomas, Basil, and his twin in infancy.
Service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 13th, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, with the Rev. Alex Zell, of Peoples Church, and the Rev. Harry Pishcura, of New Life Assembly, officiating. Interment with Military Honors at Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 12th, at the Funeral Home.
