Glenn B. Overfield, age 59, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the home of his daughter, Bethany and surrounded by his loving family and friends.
The son of Clarence B. and Esther May (Pysher) Overfield, Glenn was born in East Stroudsburg, Pa. on July 21, 1954 and had been an area resident since 1978. Glenn married the love of his life, Christina Louise (Loftus) on August 3, 1974 in Mt. Bethel, Pa.
Prior to his retirement in 1998, he worked 20 years for The Illuminating Company (CEI). He enjoyed computers, woodworking, gardening, cooking and fixing up old cars.
He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 40 years, Christina Overfield of Ashtabula; children, David Matthew Overfield of Berea and Bethany Kristyann (Judy) Overfield of Sheffield Township; his brother, Robert (Lori) Overfield of San Antonio, Texas; and his father, Clarence “Bud” Overfield of Ashtabula; longtime friend, Gwynne (Wendy) Gilbert of East Bangor, Pa.; and his beloved dog, “Teddy Bear Blue.”
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Overfield on Jan. 8, 2006; and his mother, Esther Overfield in 2012.
A Memorial Service will be held 7 p.m., Monday, April 28th, at DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES AND CREMATORY, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, with Kathleen Shaffer, CFSP officiating.
Calling Hours will be from 6 p.m. until time of Service on Monday at the Funeral Home.
