JEFFERSON — Evelyn Kenyon, age 94, former Trumbull Twp., Jefferson and Lenox Twp. resident, died Friday afternoon, June 21, 2013, at the Jefferson Healthcare Center where she had been a patient the past five months.
She was born Dec. 24, 1918, in Youngstown, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Voytovich) Vucinic and had been a resident of Ashtabula Co. since 1950, coming from Willoughby.
Mrs. Kenyon was a licensed real estate agent and worked as a seamstress at the Jefferson Clothesline during her retirement years. She was an accomplished artist, loved to do oil paintings and participated in various art exhibits. She was a member of the Lakeshore Artist Guild and taught art at the Ashtabula Co. Jail. She was a member and past matron of the O. E. S. Rainbow Chapter #534 and served as president of the Ashtabula Co. AARP. Her enjoyments included art, music and her family.
She is survived by four children, Dianne J. (Keith) Miller of Jefferson, Robert B. (Linda) Kenyon of Akron, Nancy E. (Syl) Stanisa of Jefferson and Barbara S. (Ted) Ewing of Dorset; seven grandchildren, Bruce (Jessica) Miller, Jane Miller, Stephen (Cindy) Kenyon, Brian (Lori) Kenyon, Deana (Joe) Cole, Philip (Lisa) Dietrich and Brent (Amanda) Dietrich; three step-grandchildren, Sylvia, David and Mark Stanisa; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Her parents and former husband, Robert M. Kenyon preceded her in death.
No public calling hours or services will be observed. A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family to honor Evelyn’s life. In memory of Evelyn, the family request you share a smile and give someone you love a hug.
