CONNEAUT — Thomas J. Brown, age 42, of Conneaut, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, Ohio.
Tom was born June 13, 1970, in Canton, Ohio. He worked for a short time in Massillon at MCA Factory in Production and later moved to Conneaut and worked at the former Tipp Factory. Tom achieved Subway certification training in October 1996 +and later became the bookkeeper at Subway on Park Avenue in Conneaut, where he helped his longtime companion and best friend, Stacy Hunt.
Tom loved to travel with Stacy to Key West, Fla., Myrtle Beach and Connecticut. He also enjoyed working on his computer, and his dogs. Tom was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan and he was known as being a practical joker. Tom especially loved his son, Nic, and spending time with him and Stacy.
Tom was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother, Deborah Elum Brown of Massillon, Ohio; his son, Nic Brown of Conneaut; his life partner and best friend, Stacy Hunt of Conneaut; brother, Nick Brown of California; and his “second mother”, Carol Moustaris of Massillon, Ohio.
Calling Hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20th, at RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date in Tom’s memory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League of Ashtabula County. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
