AUSTIN, Texas —
John Robert Mason, age 56, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Conneaut, Ohio, lost his courageous fight against cancer on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012.
He was born on Oct. 10, 1955, in Painesville, Ohio, to Ronald and Kathryn Mason. John was a 1973 graduate of Conneaut High School.
He was an extremely hard worker and loved to work with his hands and build beautiful decks. John had a passion for cooking, helping others and talking sports. He treasured his wife, his son's baseball games and his daughter's love of animals and laughter. His annual camping trip to Colorado with his father, uncle, brother-in-law and friends was his respite.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tracy Tarver; his children, Sean (17) and Brianna (12); his parents, Ron and Kitty Mason of Marysville, Ohio; three sisters, Cynthia Mason, Mary Ann (Bill) Minken and Judy (Todd) Griffey; nieces and nephews, Lisa Minken, Katie and Scott Tourville and Brett Griffey; and his in-laws, Bobby and Sharon Simpson, Charles and Mary Tarver and Susan Edgar and their families.
Memorial Service will be 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 7th, at Fern Bluff MUD Community Center, 7320 Wyoming Springs Dr., Round Rock, Texas.
