ASHTABULA — Tena Louise Furman, age 53, went to the arms of her Lord and Savior on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 23, 1960, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Bobby J. and Burgis (Childress) Hall Sr. and lived here most of her life except for 5 years spent in Texas. On August 2, 1996, she married her friend and partner for life, Ed Furman Jr., and they celebrated eighteen years of love, laughter and memories. To Eddy, she was always his “good ol’ girl.”
She was an active and faithful member of the Pentecostal Church of God.
Tena was an active participant in the lives of her family. She enjoyed camping, watching sports with her husband, hosting many family birthday parties at her home, and spending time with her baby dog, “Angel”.
She will be remembered for her feisty spirit, her strength through adversity, her love of family and friends, and her deep and abiding faith.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Furman Jr.; her children, Michael Ray (Tabitha) Blevins Jr. of Ashtabula and Carrie Lee (David Falke) Blevins of Kingsville; special nieces, Trena L. Hall who was like a daughter to her and Kylie O’Connor; grandchildren, Ryan M. Roth and Victoria E. “Tori” Roth, both of Kingsville, Michael R. Blevins III and Timothy Blevins, both of Ashtabula; step-grandchildren, Nicholas Jaske and Gabriella “Gabby” Jaske of Ashtabula and Caitlyn Falke and David “DJ” Falke III, both of Kingsville; her father and step-mother, Bobby J. (Gloria) Hall Sr. of Conneaut; three sisters and a brother, Sherry (William E.) Benson of Kingston, Karen L. (Bob) Mathias, Bobbie June (Lonnie) Nelson and Bobby J. (Patricia) Hall Jr., all of Ashtabula; many nephews and nieces and great-nephews and nieces; step-brother, Thomas O’Connor of Conneaut; and her dear friends, Helen Hall, Nancy Hopkins and Sheila Vencill.
