CONNEAUT — Holly D. Brown, age 71, of Conneaut, Ohio, died Sunday morning, Dec. 8, 2013, at UH Conneaut Medical Center.
Born June 23, 1942, in Conneaut, she was the daughter of Alton A. and June E. (Suttles) Janson. Holly was a graduate of Rowe High School, and attended Kent State and Gannon University.
She was CO-manager of the Healthy Smile Center in Ashtabula for over 20 years.
In past years, she enjoyed bowling and had been secretary of the league, and was an avid Cleveland sports fan.
While her children were young, she coached, umpired and managed their sports teams at CLYO, and was involved in all aspects of their lives. She was very close with her family. Holly had a huge heart and was a caretaker to many.
Survivors include her mother, June Janson of Conneaut; two daughters, Cam Brown and Tami Zappitelli, both of Conneaut; her grandson, Nicholas Zappitelli; two brothers, Mick Janson of North Canton, Ohio, and Ted Janson of Poquoson, Va.; and nieces, nephews and more distant relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Al Janson in 2006.
Calling Hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12th, at the MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
No funeral services will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Conneaut Public Library or to the Conneaut Food Pantry. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
