ASHTABULA — Pauline I. (Downie) Korepta, age 85, of Ashtabula, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Country Club Retirement Campus in Ashtabula.
She was born April 16, 1927, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Horace and Ruby (Jones) Downie and had been a lifetime area resident.
She was a graduate of Ashtabula High School and retired from the True Temper Company in Saybrook Township. She enjoyed crocheting, travel, her cats and she loved to visit with people.
Surviving her is her loving nephew, Homer (Christine) Downie of Ashtabula; Carol Cauffield of Geneva who was like a daughter to her; her special friends, Mickey and Paula Cauffield; her great-nephew, Jeremiah (Lisa) Downie and their children, Payton, Ethan and Landon; and other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benny Korepta; three brothers, Earl, Joe and Arlo Downie; and her loving companion, Carl Emerson.
Graveside Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 21st, at Maple Grove Cemetery, State Road, Plymouth Township, with Alisa Nierzejewski, Certified Celebrandt officiating.
