ASHTABULA — Ethelda Glendean Campbell, age 90, of Cemetery Road, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 10, 1922, in Davis, W.Va., the daughter of Glenn and Bessie (Douglas) Breedlove and had been an Ashtabula resident for 60 years after moving here from Maryland.
An avid bowler and lover of bingo and playing the slots, she enjoyed traveling as well, especially with her son to watch her grandkids play baseball. Above all else, her family was her life and she always looked forward to every family get-together.
Her survivors include seven children, Patricia Moody of Texas, Punch (Gail) Campbell, Jo (Pat) Perry, Dale Campbell, Guy Campbell and Kevin Campbell, all of Ashtabula, and Hope (Robert) Harris of Florida; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Yvonne Fowler of Nashville, Tenn.; and her sister-in-law, Judy Breedlove of North Kingsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Campbell; brothers, Douglas, Glendean, Loren, Curtis, Gerald, Emerson and Donald; granddaughters, Dawn Moody and Tina Wood; son-in-law, James Moody; and her parents.
A gathering of friends and graveside service will be held next summer at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville. No calling hours will be observed.
