CLEVELAND — Carl R. Wolfram, age 70, of Rock Creek, Ohio, died Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the Hospice of the Western Reserve, Cleveland, Ohio.
Carl was born on Jan. 11, 1944, in Burton Township, Ohio, to Carl A. and Christina (née: Weintrager) Wolfram. A graduate of Burton High School, Class of 1962, he then served his country for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force as a radio and electronics technician. Carl then joined TRW where he worked as an electrician for many years.
He enjoyed farming, and after he retired, he operated a 60 acre hay and grain farm in Rock Creek.
Carl is survived by his sisters, Marie (Leo, deceased) Walzer of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and Anne (Terence) Deggendorf of Northampton, Mass.; brother, John (Mary Lou) Wolfram of Burton; nephews, David Deggendorf, Byron and Aaron Wolfram; and nieces, Carol Orelli, Lisa Schmitt and Anna Blouir.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard; and sisters, Elizabeth, Gertrude, Helen and Julia.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., Thursday, March 13th, at the Church of St. Helen, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury, Ohio, with the Rev. Jay McPhillips as celebrant.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12th, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the BURR FUNERAL HOME, 116 South St. (On Route 44, 500’ south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon, Ohio.
