CLEVELAND — The Rev. Richard B. Reece Jr., age 65, of Painesville, Ohio, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Hospice House, Cleveland.
Born Nov. 21, 1946, in Bucyrus, Ohio, he resided in Painesville for 39 years and was formerly of Madison.
The Rev. Reece was an ordained Protestant Minister with the “Family Worship Center”. He was the former Pastor at Deliverance Temple in Ashtabula and Church of God in Mentor. He loved preaching the word of God on TV and radio. Besides ministering, he was a machine operator for Worthington/Angstrom Precision Metals in Mentor for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Neva Reece; children, Amy (Tim) Smelser of Mentor and Rick J. Reece of Painesville; six grandchildren, Jordan, Danielle, Jonathan, Caleb, Aaron and Noah; siblings, Charlotte (Carlous) Stergill of Hartsgrove, Janice Reece of Madison, Raymond (Brenda) Reece of Rock Creek and Donald Reece of Mahaffey, Pa.
Preceding Richard in death are his parents, Richard B. and Emily Reece Sr.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 4th, at BRUNNER SANDEN DEITRICK FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio, where the family will receive friends Wednesday, Oct. 3rd, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville.
