HARPERSFIELD TOWNSHIP — Lillian White Swank, age 85, of Harpersfield Township, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 2, 1927, in Mentor to Lillian (Eichorn) and Thomas White and married Chester Swank in Chardon, Ohio on Dec. 27, 1958.
Lillian was the Owner/Operator of Spring Hill Farm Market and formerly worked as an Ohio State Extension Agent. She was a 1945 Graduate of Chardon High School and earned a BS in Home Economics from The Ohio State University. Lillian was member of Geneva First United Methodist Church. She served as a 4-H leader in Virginia and Ohio and was a master seamstress. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, bird watching and spending time and helping the staff @ The Winery at Spring Hill.
She is survived by her son, Thomas E. (Hope) Swank of Harpersfield; daughter, Cindy Swank (Pete) Cole of Harpersfield; step-daughters, Roberta Thompson of Lakewood and Kathy (Dan) Corey of Westerville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Swank; and her parents.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, May 19th, at BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio.
Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, May 20th, at the Funeral Home. Final Resting Place will be at Alexander Harper Cemetery in Unionville.
