AUSTINBURG — Beatrice M. Fleming, age 82, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at the Austinburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was born Sept. 28, 1930, in Williamsfield, Ohio, the daughter of Mertis and Aleta Mary (Robins) Fleming. She was raised in the Ashtabula County Children’s Home and graduated from Edgewood High School.
She attended Bible College in Michigan and worked as a foster parent with Indian children out west. She had also worked as a crossing guard for the Ashtabula Area City Schools.
She is a member of the Ashtabula First United Methodist Church. She was a dog lover who knew all the neighborhood dogs. She was also an avid Browns Fan.
Surviving her is her pet bird “Petey” and many friends; and her church family.
A Memorial Service will be 11:30 a.m., Sunday, May 5th, at the Memorial Garden at the First United Methodist Church, 4506 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Christine Bell officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church dinning hall.
