KINGSVILLE — Donald LaVerne Trask Sr., age 86, a resident of Kingsville, died early Monday morning, Sept. 9, 2013, at his home.
Born Jan. 16, 1927, in Chardon, he was the son of Hulbert and Martha (Hale) Trask. He graduated from Jefferson High School. After graduation he served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater as a medic truck driver.
Donald retired from the C.E.I., he was a mechanic.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, the former Maxine March; a son, Dennis L. Trask at home; a daughter, Deborah Lynn (Ken) Johnson of South Carolina; grandsons, Rev. Christopher James (Jeannelle) Benek of South Carolina and Alan Lee Johnson of Poland, Ohio; brothers, William Trask of Burton, Herbert Trask of Geneva and David Trask of Saybrook; sisters, Gertrude Bolonder of Burton, Ohio, Ruth Buckley of Hartstown, Pa., Elsie Miller of Florida and a sister Marylyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Donald L. Trask Jr.
Private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family, conducted by his grandson, the Rev. Christopher Benek, with music by Jeannelle Benek.
