GENEVA — Lois Janet Nedro O’Neil, age 85, of Geneva, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013, at Geneva Village Retirement Community.
Born July 23, 1928, in Geneva, she was the daughter of Alton Emmanuel Nedro and Frances Sidney Pettit. On March 17, 1951, she married James Carlyle O’Neil in Craven County, N.C. A graduate of Geneva High School, Lois attended Ohio Northern University.
She had the opportunity to live in many places locally including Chardon, Willoughby, and Geneva, as well as Aida and Dayton, Ohio; St. Joseph, Mo., and Dow, Ill. Lois belonged to the Friends of Arcola Creek and she enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening and was a world traveler. She was active in the Geneva Senior Center.
Lois is survived by her sister, Carole Marie Ebs of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; and seven nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Catherine Austin; and her brother, Lawrence Nedro.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, August 24th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva.
A Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m., Saturday, at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Shirley Stoops-Frantz, of Harpersfield United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
