ASHTABULA — Mary Mae Chambers, age 71, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at University Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio.
The daughter of Charles and Ruth (Campbell) Kurtz, she was born on May 28, 1942, in Conneaut, Ohio, and remained a lifelong area resident. She married her husband, Norman, on August 13, 1968, and together they celebrated forty-five years of marriage.
Mary is survived by her husband, Norman, and her children, Harry (Janice) Icenhower, Christina Hedrick, Lucinda Sue Saunders and Karen Chambers, all of Ashtabula and Linda (John) of Jefferson, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, David Kurtz of Jacksonville, Fla.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; her brothers, Richard, Harry and Raymond; her son-in-law, Clyde Saunders; and her great-granddaughter, Isabella Chambers-Davis.
A Funeral Service will be held 12 p.m., Noon, on Tuesday, Nov. 26th, at the ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Gageville Cemetery.
No calling hours will be observed.
