KINGSVILLE — Charlotte E. Markijohn, age 80, of Conneaut, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
Born March 7, 1933, in Conneaut, the daughter of the late Oscar and Anna (Huber) Eaton, she had been a lifelong area resident. She married the love of her life, Stephen J. Markijohn, on August 11, 1953.
Charlotte was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Conneaut. She was the church custodian and served on many of the church committees over the years. Charlotte devoted her life to her church, her children, and her grandchildren.
Mrs. Markijohn is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Stephen; daughters, Patti Markijohn-Rantamaki of Conneaut and Evelyn Hicks of Chardon; sons, Steve Markijohn of Linesville, Pa. and Ed (Cindi) Ireland of Nashville, Tenn.; step-daughters, Joy (Guy) Hale of Chardon and Noel (Tim) Anderson of Mentor-on-the-Lake; brother, John (Carol) Eaton of Monroe Township; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Rev. Joseph Markijohn and his wife Jean; sisters, Mildred Carpenter and Gladys Eaton; brothers, Ralph and Garold Eaton; and her grandchildren, Tina Conjako and Brian Curtis.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29th, at the Ashtabula County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 5740 Dibble Rd., Kingsville, with the Rev. Carson Robson, of the Conneaut Church of God, officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
