CONCORD TOWNSHIP — Celebration of Life Memorial Mass for Patrick J. Plickert, age 44, of Concord Township, Ohio, will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14th, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor, Ohio. A reception will follow the Mass.
Mr. Plickert passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at his residence.
Born June 6, 1969, in Warren, Ohio, he had lived in Ashtabula, Ohio, before moving to Lake County 13 years ago, living in Painesville before moving to Concord Township.
Mr. Plickert was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the first Gulf War with Desert Storm. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Painesville and the Geneva Eagles; was a true Browns fan; an avid fisherman, known as “Top Stroke,” he loved walleye fishing and was a member of Ohio Game Fishing. His family was his true love and he was so proud of all of them. He loved being with them.
Mr. Plickert was a member of Carpenter’s Local 95, was a master craftsman and was honored as the recipient of the Builders Exchange Craftsmanship Award.
He was the beloved husband of 16 years to Kimberly A. (née: Morich) Plickert; loving father of Christopher R. (Hope), Sarah C. (Ryan), Leslie A., and Katie L.; cherished grandfather of Gage and “one-on-the-way”; beloved son of Susan L. (née: Mullen) Plickert; brother of Jamie S. (Bill) Poyer, Chris J. Plickert, Brenda L. (John) Timko and Michael R.A. Plickert; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, August John Plickert.
Burial will be private.
