ASHTABULA — Sean Lynn Harkins, age 38, of Hamlin Drive, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 6, 2013, at his home.
He was born April 2, 1975, in Painesville, the son of Joseph and Brenda (New) Harkins and had been an area resident most of his life.
He worked 10 years as a truck driver for Chapman’s Food Service and liked working on cars, fishing, and motorcycles. He enjoyed listening to Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Metallica and rides with his son in the Camaro. Sean had a wicked sense of humor and was a wonderful grandpa, dad, brother, and son.
His survivors include his son, Sean (Kathleen Balcomb) Harkins; grandchildren, Molly and Jordan Harkins; his parents, Joseph and Brenda Harkins of Ashtabula; his maternal grandmother, Margaret New of Ashtabula; five brothers, William (Elaine) Potter of Conneaut, Fabian (LeAnne) Potter of Ashtabula, John Harkins of Chardon, Shannon Harkins of Ashtabula, and Christopher Harkins of Painesville; one sister, Dianna Frye of Ashtabula; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Richard “Mike” Frye.
A private family service will be held. No calling hours will be observed.
