WILLOUGHBY HILLS — Stephen S. Wludyga Sr., age 57, of River Road, Willoughby Hills, died peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2013, with his family around him.

He was born June 20, 1955, in Ashtabula, the son of Steve and Beverly (Davis) Wludyga.

Stephen grew up in Jefferson, Ohio, where he was an avid athlete and participated in Boy Scouts. He also served as an altar boy at St. Joseph Calasanctius Church. Stephen was a 1973 graduate of the Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School and the Jefferson Area High School and a 1975 graduate of the DeVry Institute of Technology in Columbus, Ohio. While in Columbus, Stephen enjoyed being a part of the Big Brothers program, mentoring and coaching young men.

On August 2, 1980, Stephen and Teresa M. Keep were married in Dorset United Methodist Church. Stephen worked in computer software sales for over two decades. He used his expertise in this area to start several companies and ended his career as a Regional Manager at Rand Worldwide.

Stephen was very active in the lives of his three children, carrying on his love of sports by coaching them in basketball, baseball and football. He was a long standing member of the Willoughby Hills Boys League, serving as an officer for many years. He also participated in the YMCA program “Indian Princesses” with his daughters. Stephen was an active member of the Willoughby Hills Lions Club and the Willoughby Hills United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Beverly J. Wludyga of Williamsfield, Ohio; loving wife, Teresa M. Wludyga of Willoughby Hills, Ohio; three beautiful children, Jacquelyn M. (Michael) MacLeod of Las Vegas, Nev., Kimberly R. (Stephen) Behnke of Marysville, Ohio and Stephen S. Wludyga Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Quinne (John) Buzzard of Jefferson, Ohio and Tamera (Paul) McTrusty of Ashtabula, Ohio; and five brothers, Rick (Suzanne) Wludyga of New Lyme, Ohio, Henry Wludyga of Chevy Chase, Md., Michael (Helen) Wludyga of Dorset, Ohio,  Matthew Wludyga of Willoughby Hills, Ohio and Eric Wludyga of Williamsfield, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Wludyga; brothers, Eugene and Theodore Wludyga; and a sister, Stephanie Rogers.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 5th, at Jefferson United Methodist Church, 125 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with Pastor Dana Flemming officiating. Burial will be in Dorset Cemetery at a later date.

Calling Hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 4th, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND CREMATORY, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.
