CONYERS, Ga. — Marilyn E. Flynn Day Hohne, formerly of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013, at her home in Conyers, Ga., after a year and a half battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born May 28, 1932 and graduated from Edgewood High School in 1950.
Marilyn was a registered nurse for 35+ years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Cecilia (Lanser) Flynn; her sister, Ceilia Jones; her husband, George H. Hohne; and her grandchildren, Lisa Hohne and Freddy Day.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas (Annette) Flynn of Columbus, Ohio; her children, Jerald (Barbara) Day of Conyers, Ga., Michael Day of Conyers, Ga., Candice Gilbert of Lawrenceville, Ga., George Hohne of Punta Gorda, Fla., John (Joanne) Hohne of Parma Heights, Ohio and Tom Hohne of Tequesta, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m., Friday, May 31st, at Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Columbus Ave., Ashtabula. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
